Technical Note
Benefitting from Elementar's halogen trap for inorganic carbon and sulfur analysis
During carbon and sulfur analysis of inorganic materials containing a reasonable amount of chlorine and/or fluorine, some precautions have to be taken. The higher the amount of these two halogens is, the more important it is to trap the halogens right after the combustion, in order to protect the analyzer from damage.
This Technical Note demonstrates how our halogen traps for chlorine and fluorine for the inductar® CS cube and inductar® EL cube reliably trap the halogens right after combustion and before the carrier gas carries the reaction gases through the instrument all the way to the detectors.
