The ATOMIC team at the Institut des Sciences Analytiques in Lyon has expanded its carbon analysis capabilities by adopting Elementar’s inductar® CS cube and enviro TOC analyzers, supporting advanced analytical research across solid and liquid sample types.
Part of ISA Lyon, the ATOMIC team - Analysis for Tracing Origin, Metabolism by using Isotopic Coupling - develops innovative analytical and instrumental approaches for quantitative and isotopic analysis, as well as the characterization of organic compounds. With Elementar’s instruments, the team can support demanding research applications across health, authentication, environmental science, geology, materials science and biomass-related projects.
By combining solid carbon and sulfur (CS) analysis with high-concentration liquid TOC analysis, the ATOMIC team has strengthened its ability to support collaborative research, expand its service provision and develop analytical methods beyond standard instrument applications.

“Elementar France’s after-sales service is always excellent. We are lucky to have an Elementar service engineer who lives near our laboratory. We wait even less than usual when we have a problem, which is brilliant. We wish to continue our partnership with Elementar for on-site visits by various staff members to work on the two analyzers, as this is also very rewarding for us.”
