High speed analysis of 15N, 13C and 34S of organic samples in under 10 minutes
Sequential EA-IRMS analysis of nitrogen, carbon, and sulfur isotopes from a single organic sample offers several benefits. Firstly, it significantly enhances sample efficiency by requiring a smaller amount of sample compared to individual analyses. This is particularly advantageous when working with limited or precious samples. Secondly, it provides a comprehensive isotopic profile of the sample, enabling deeper insights into the physical, chemical or biological process the sample has experienced. Finally, this approach saves time and resources by streamlining the analytical process, allowing for higher throughput and increased productivity. Here we demonstrate that the analysis of 15N, 13C & 34S from a single sample can be performed in under 10 minutes, further improving efficiency in the laboratory.
